DVYC is…

A paid (up to $600.00 stipend) environmentally based job skills program for teens. Participants spend a significant amount of time outdoors in the South Park and Georgetown communities and natural areas learning about ecology and job skills. The program is equal parts environmental science, job skills training, stewardship and outdoor hands-on work. We seek a diverse group of teens to create a balanced team. You must be:

    • Dependable 

    • Motivated   

    • Curious   

    • Problem solver   

    • Independent   

    • Able to work well and listen to adults   

    • Respectful to guests and their property   

    • Able Speak-up & Communicate    

    • Hard worker   

    • Would work well on a team of peers

    • Hands-on learner   

    • Show up to each session
